Our Leadership

Servant leadership under the guidance of the Holy Spirit at Rhema Alive Church is a leadership approach that is rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes the biblical concept that effective leaders should primarily see Servant leadership in a church as a biblical approach that is rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus Christ.  Our Pastor and Executive Leadership Ministry should primarily see themselves as servants to their congregation, focusing on serving the needs of others rather than seeking positions of power or authority for their benefit. Here's a more detailed definition of servant leadership in a church context:

  1. Priority of Service: Servant leadership at Rhema Alive places a high priority on serving the needs of the congregation and community. Leaders adopt a mindset of humility and selflessness, seeking to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of others.
  2. Leading by Example: At Rhema Alive we lead by example, modeling the behavior and values they wish to see in their congregation.
  3. Empowerment: We empower and equip others within the church to use their gifts and talehow nts for the greater good.
  4. Listening and Empathy: At Rhema, we are attentive listeners who genuinely care about the concerns, ideas, and feelings of those they lead.
  5. Spiritual Growth: Servant leadership in a church is concerned with the spiritual growth and well-being of the congregation. Leaders provide guidance, support, and resources to help individuals in their faith journeys.
  6. Decision-Making: The Pastor will prayerfully consult with the Executive Ministry in decision-making processes and seek consensus whenever possible.
  7. Accountability: Servant leaders are accountable to God and the congregation for their actions and decisions.
  8. Long-Term Vision: Servant leaders often have a long-term vision for the spiritual health and growth of the church.
